I’ve added two new researchers to the Researcher Index:
- Don McNeilly is researching the following surnames: McNeilly, Webb, Caylor, Sullivan & Woodby
- Patricia Taylor is descendant of Sanders Calloway HINTON b 1822 d 1882 and Dorcas
RODDY b 1824 d 1890, who moved to Blount Co from Knox Co in 1852 and are
buried in Carpenter’s Campground Cemetery in Blount Co. In addition to
the HINTON and RODDY families, she also researches the families of Rev.
Robert Hendeson SNODDY and Dicy JOHNSTON, wife of Alexander RODDY.
She is interested in contacting other descendants of these families to
exchange information.
I am looking for historians around the family of John Darius Alexander around 1860. I have been reading a book on Charles Alexander who was the son and great song leader. He visited my fathers great aunt in Melbourne, Australia.
I noticed that you are researching Roddy’s. I know the area my Alexander line is from, and we have Roddy’s in our line living in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. I wonder if the Roddy’s and Alexander’s left County Tyrone and kept together as families in Blount County, TN.
I would be interested in any information.

I am researching the Adams and Brewer lines in Blount and Sevier Counties.
