Blount County Deaths 1881
December 2, 2007 by taneya
A researcher has submitted to me photocopied pages of a microfilm of Blount County Vital Statistics, 1881-1882 that she accessed from the Blount County Public Library (Microfilm #137). She sent me 5 pages and the first page was just deaths. However, I can’t read most of the names! I applaud those who really work to transcribe microfilmed documents as the handwriting can be really difficult to read. That said, I could make out clearly about 3 or 4 deaths:
- Charles Murr - died 23 Oct 1881 - white, male, age 3 years, 6 months and 3 days old. Died in the 7th district, cause of death - diptheria.
- Nancy Harris Gray - died 6 Aug 1881 - white, female, married, age 74, died of rheumatitis
- Ezra Henshaw Lee - died 5 Nov 1881, male, white, single, age 32, died in the 4th district.
Taneya,
Can you read one for Sanders Calloway (or S.C.) HINTON on October 28, 1882 from that list?
