I’ve just read on a listserv I belong to that the Calvin M. McClung Historical Collection of the Knox County Public Library has a Digital Collections website at http://cdm265301.cdmhost.com/.
Blount County is bordered by Knox County, so you may find items of interest here! The Digital Collection currently focuses on three sets of material:
- Thompson Photograph Collection – pictures that span 1907-1960 from local photography Jim Thompson.
- Knox County Two Centuries – pictures submitted in 1991 from county residents in celebration of the county’s 200th birthday
- Women’s Suffrage - pictures from the women’s suffrage movement
Features on the site allow you to set up your personal “favorites” and set preferences for search results, slideshows and more.
